| HISTORY: Aquinas Center was founded in 1973 by the New Albany Deanery Board of Total Catholic Education for the purpose of providing people and material resources and generating opportunities for continuing education in faith for the Catholics of the New Albany Deanery The Catechetical Ministry Office supports and challenges continuing growth toward faith maturity by providing personal and material resources for Catholic adult faith formation, Catholic schools, Parish Religious Education Programs and Youth Ministry Programs for the Catholic parishes of the New Albany Deanery (Clark, Floyd and Harrison Counties.) Our services are available to any Catholic in the Deanery. Through our dedication and commitment to Life Long Faith Formation the Catechetical Ministry Office strives to be both a sign and a reality that proclaim the Kingdom of God throughout the Deanery and the community at large. We invite you to call us or visit us for resources to assist your programs or to assist you in your own personal development in faith. |
| OUR LOGO: The cross is the symbol of our shared faith, the sign of our redemption, and a challenge to live out Christ’s message of love. It is a sign that we are called to be a witness of faith. The horizontal arm of this cross is formed by a branch of four leaves. There is rich symbolism here: from the cross comes new growth, a realization that we need to continually grow in faith. The leaves represent the four interlocking dimensions of Catechetical Ministry: Message, Community, Service, and Worship. Serving as a background is the circle, symbolic of the unity of the parishes of the New Albany Deanery in providing Total Catholic Education in and through the Catechetical & Youth Ministry Offices of the Aquinas Center. We are your Deanery Center and in that, we are an extension of the sign of a people proclaiming God’s kingdom. |
