ABOUT MICHAEL A. DAUPHINAIS, PH.D.
Michael Dauphinais, Ph.D., is co-director of the Aquinas Center for Theological Renewal. He serves as the Chair of the Theology Department and the Fr. Matthew Lamb Professor of Catholic Theology at Ave Maria University, Ave Maria, Florida. Dr. Dauphinais holds degrees from Duke University and the University of Notre Dame. He has co-authored with Matthew Levering Knowing the Love of Christ: An Introduction to the Theology of Thomas Aquinas (2016) and Holy People, Holy Land: A Theological Introduction to the Bible (2005). His newest co-authored book Wisdom of the Word: Biblical Answers to Ten Questions about Catholicism was published by Word on Fire Press in the summer of 2021.

Dr. Dauphinais has also published numerous articles and chapters in books in moral, dogmatic, and biblical theology. He previously served as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty throughout many of the founding years of Ave Maria University. Dr. Dauphinais is also the host of The Catholic Theology Show podcast, available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube. He loves to teach C.S. Lewis, the Triune God, the Bible, seminars on the great books, and anything on Aquinas.
Some of Dr. Dauphinais's recent appearances include an episode of his podcast, The Catholic Theology Show, where he is interviewed by Dr. Roger Nutt on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of his co-edited book, Knowing the Love of Christ; an appearance on the podcast Pints With Jack in discussion of Boethius and C.S. Lewis; a talk co-delivered with his wife, Nancy Dauphinais, at the Together in Holiness marriage conference for the Diocese of Venice; an apparance on the Classical Theism podcast in discussion of the Catholic view of salvation; and the talk "Spiritual but not Religious: Rediscovering the Virtue of Religion" at the 2023 Applied Biblical Studies Steubenville Conference.
Dr. Dauphinais also leads a Pursuit of Wisdom course at Ave Maria, The Wisdom of C.S. Lewis.
